Lynda.com December News

Welcome to our December 2011 newsletter. Since January of this year (and as of this mailing), we’ve published or updated more than 270 courses (more than 1,000 hours of new content), launched six new series, and produced four Creative Inspirations documentaries! This month, we top off the year with a new selection of audio software and skills courses, online and email marketing courses, and much more. We’re grateful to have been a part of your learning in 2011, and look forward to more in 2012!

Tune into the Audio channel

The audiophiles here at lynda.com are excited to release a series of new audio courses, with many more in the pipeline.

In Audio Mixing Bootcamp, veteran producer Bobby Owsinski reveals industry tips and techniques for producing professionally mixed audio on any digital audio workstation. The course offers recommendations for setting up an optimal listening environment, highlights the most efficient ways to set up and balance a mix, and shows how to build a powerful sound with compression.

We’ll be covering the key Virtual Instruments in Logic Pro. In this month’s installment, Brian Trifon shows how to improve your production with the ES M Monophonic Synthesizer and ES E Ensemble Synthesizer.

As a thank-you to our members and friends, we’ve made the Pro Tools 10 New Features course available freely to all. David Franz helps you transition to the new version of Pro Tools seamlessly.

We are constantly adding new software training courses and inspirational documentaries to help you reach your creative and career goals.

Design in Motion series

We’ve added to our collection of living courses with the release of Design in Motion, which features our own lynda.com video content manager, Rob Garrott. In this series, which provides new videos weekly for members and biweekly for everyone, Rob gives you tips, techniques, and inspiration from the world of motion graphics using After Effects and CINEMA 4D. Design in Motion joins our other regularly updated courses, Deke’s Techniques, InDesign Secrets, and InDesign FX, which all give you short bursts of inspiration and know-how ideal for when you don’t have time to focus on a longer course. We have had great feedback from members on this new, continually updated, dynamic course format.
